abraxas press

make time

allow the easter’s

surprise of igloos

parked in drives

and the white duvets

that cuddle the laurels

and the white poultice sewn

with crow’s-foot stitch

onto the lawn

to slowly melt

do not go out

make time

for the blue skins

of undriven cars

for the green

prawns

in the dripping hedge

for the wet burn

of emergent highways

to heal in the

thin sun
